Relevance of our study of God in today’s life situations. Topic: Worldviews

Reflection Paper: Relevance of our study of God in today’s life situations.

            I honestly am confused as to what should I focus on in this paper. But as I ponder, I realized that getting familiar with different Worldviews is truly significant, that it is actually part of all the decision making I do each day. It shapes the way I see things and how I react on the daily scenarios I face. At first, I was so overly defensive and close-minded with what people do and say but when I learned that we all have a framework of ideas and attitudes that we follow thus, influences our choices and behavior. Our chosen worldview becomes our concept of reality then there’s where the differences takes place. As a person who believes in a Theistic Worldview, I am standing in the absolute authority of God, His Word and His leading. Plus, it sums up the entirety of our Christian faith, especially in questions of “who God is” that connects to “who we are”. Still, being in this point of view helped me understand the “hugots” of others as well. Therefore, I came to respect them now, but with the desire to somehow help them recognize the perspective I have as well, since what I believe is an absolute Truth, and beyond doubt comes from both reason and faith in Jesus. Which is for sure, a good fundamental consideration whenever I will try to defend my faith. Well, bearing in mind the way I write this paper, already shows a great impact to me of the worldview I am in. 😂

            It all manifests in the way I speak, I dress, I respond or react and the way I converse with people or with the relationship I have with my family and friends. All these mirror the actions we do in accordance to what we are convinced to as a coherent view. There may be some variations and uniqueness with regards to our autonomous relativity and non-essential objectivity, yet it is somehow anchored to the worldview we are in. Furthermore, the learning of this should humble us rather than make us arrogant of what we know. For God is the one who allowed us to figure out more of this kind of things. This must be a stepping stone as well for us to spread the Good News to nonbelievers since a worldview is also a driving force of their ideals. And so this is beneficial by developing a good quality of relationship rather than creating more inevitable conflicts. I still have a lot to discover and experience for me to grasp this topic. But in conclusion, I realized that the study of this will greatly affect our way of thinking and doing, in major aspects of our lives. At the end of the day, this should lead me to know God further and be more and more like Him as I mature in faith.

REVIEW: Affordable Eyewear from FIRMOO

Hi guys, how are you doing? I haven’t been blogging for a long time and hopefully, I’ll get to have all the motivation I need to write again. J

Anyway, what I have today is a first impression review on a pair of specs that I got from Firmoo. Well, Firmoo (www.firmoo.com) is an online optical shop that sells both non prescription and prescription eyewear. They are also based in the US.

Honestly, I was quite surprised when they contacted me and told me that they will send me a pair of glasses. They told me that I just have to choose one on their website, place the order and create a review on my youtube channel. I’m happy because I am just a small time blogger and vlogger, yet they chose me as one of those who can try on their products. Though, I’m not paid nor this is a sponsored post. J

I see that the shipment is within 2 weeks and they do ship internationally. I placed my order last 13^th of August and it came in the mail last 23^rd. It took only 10 days for them to deliver the product. It came all the way from China. You can check the shipping rates on their website.

Let’s proceed to the actual product.

It’s full framed and medium. It took me a while to choose from the designs on their website. I swear they’ve got quite a lot of cute stuff in there. I am also mesmerized by their sunnies. And since I wanna try to be somehow different from the others, I chose this design with a clip on shades. It’s a two in one and when you feel like you need to protect your eyes from the rays of the sun, just clip on the shades. How cool is that?

Actually, I really wanted to wear shades ever since, but it was hard for me since I have a poor eyesight. Though I can, but only when I have my contacts on and it is a hassle for me.

By the way, all of my glasses are graded. I am near sighted and my prescription is -400. But I tend to wear glasses that is not exactly of my grade because I feel a little bit dizzy even though everything is clear, but my bad because I encoded -300 only when I placed the order which is supposed to be -350 or -375. LOL , but it’s okay it’s still somehow clear on closer distance.

When you order, just input your prescription that was surely checked by your ophthalmologists as well as your pupillary distance on their website, so it can match your eyes well. You can also measure the length of your old frames so you wouldn’t have to worry of it being too small or too big on you.

Another cool thing that I saw as well on their site is that you can upload your photo on the side to see if the frame suits you. For me that’s quite amazing.

The parcel that they sent me includes a case which is my fave. They also provided me a sleeve, tiny screws and a cute mini screwdriver that you can also use as a wallet or bag chain. Isn’t it very handy? Let’s not forget the cleaning cloth which is a must whenever we buy glasses.

Overall, I had a great experience with Firmoo. It’s very easy, you just have to order it and then viola.

I will just have to test the durability of the specs.
